How this Rainbet guide handles the personal data of Australian readers
Effective date: 12 October 2026.
This policy covers an independent information site about Rainbet, written for readers in Australia. The site is not Rainbet and is not a casino, so it has no accounts, takes no payments and asks for no identity documents. It handles very little personal data, and the table below sets out all of it.
What is handled, and why
| Data | How it reaches the site | What it is used for | How long it is kept |
|---|---|---|---|
| Your email address and the message you write | You send a message to [email protected] | Answering you and recording any correction to a page | While the matter is open, then deleted unless a correction record needs it |
| Technical data from a visit, such as IP address, browser type and the pages requested | Created automatically when a page is loaded | Delivering the page, keeping it secure and spotting misuse | Only as long as ordinary server records are retained |
| Cookies and similar small files | Set by the browser when the site needs one | Basic operation of the pages | Until the browser clears them or they expire |
| Anything you enter on Rainbet | Typed into Rainbet’s own site | Not handled by this site at all | Governed by Rainbet’s policies |
Who is the controller
The editors of this site decide how the data in the table is used, and so act as the controller for it. Rainbet is a separate business that decides for itself what to ask players. When you register, deposit or verify an account there, Rainbet is the party receiving your documents, and this site never sees them.
Where Rainbet’s data requests fit
Verification can be requested before or during a withdrawal, and a photo ID with a liveness selfie and proof of address are what it usually asks for. Two-factor authentication on a Rainbet account is a separate matter for that account. Whatever is sent goes to Rainbet, not to this site, so the editors cannot view, correct or delete them. Questions about that data belong with Rainbet, and a privacy complaint about Rainbet itself can also go to the OAIC.
Legal basis and purposes
Messages are handled because you asked for a reply. Technical records are handled because a website cannot be delivered or protected without them. The site does not sell personal data, does not build advertising profiles from it and does not combine it with data from other sources.
Sharing and transfers
Data is shared only with the services needed to run the site, such as hosting and email. Those providers may store data outside Australia. Where that happens, the site relies on the provider’s own security commitments.
Security
Access to the contact mailbox is limited to the editors. Messages are not forwarded to Rainbet or to third parties unless you ask for that.
What the site never asks for
Readers are not asked to register, and the site holds no password, card number, wallet address, Rainbet login or copy of an identity document. A message that includes any of those by mistake is deleted, and the sender is asked to change the credential if it was a live one. Because Rainbet shows its amounts in US dollars and this site converts them to AUD, the only figures a reader ever sends are questions about those conversions.
How a request is handled
A request to see, correct or delete data is read when it arrives, matched to the address it came from and answered by e-mail. If the request is about a page correction rather than personal data, the correction is checked against the figure in question and the page is updated. The e-mail exchange is then deleted unless it is the only record of why a page changed.
Your rights
You can ask what the site holds about you, ask for a correction or ask for deletion. Write to [email protected], and say which address you wrote from, so the right records can be found. The reply follows once the request is confirmed as coming from you.
Complaints
If you are not satisfied with the answer, the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) accepts privacy complaints. Its address is GPO Box 5288, Sydney NSW 2001, and its website is https://www.oaic.gov.au.
Minors
The site is written for adults, and the age of majority in Australia is 18. It does not knowingly collect data from anyone under that age, and a message that shows it came from a minor is deleted without further use.
Changes to this policy
When the policy changes, the effective date at the top of this page changes with it. A change that affects how a message is handled takes effect for messages received after that date.
Gambling and your data
Anyone who finds that betting is affecting their finances, privacy or relationships can call Gambling Help Online on 1800 858 858, at any hour of the day or night. It is free and open 24/7.
